We love to go fishing. But sometimes our favorite fishing spots seem to be a little slow. When you really want to catch some fish, check around your area for stock ponds that are available to the public.

Our favorite is in Austin, Texas and is called Rainbow Lake. They stock the ponds with farm raised catfish. You get charged by the pound, so only catch as many as you want to keep. If you catch it you buy it! You are guaranteed to have lots of fish catching fun. And the best part is that they will even clean and filet your fish. You can take it home and enjoy fish as fresh as you'd get in a hotel in aberdeen or Annapolis! They package it like you had bought it at the store and our Mom says that it is about the same price as fresh seafood bought from a store. But, you get to have lots more fun getting your fish this way!

So go catch some fish! Even if you don't know how, these places will tell you what kind of bait you need and what size of fishing line to use.
